On Tuesday it is Shrove Tuesday a.k.a Pancake day! I thought because of this I would make my own pancake.
At university a boy I knew made a ham and cheese pancake and because I am not a fan of the sweet ones I thought this’d be perfect so off I went to buy the ingredients.
I picked up the ingredients that I read on BBC Good Food as it seemed very easy and simple. I had to work out the measurements and that because their recipe was for 8 people and for me I was the only one having the pancake. I mixed it all together and put it in the pan and found that it stuck like nothing I have ever seen before! It was a disaster! The pancake was tiny as well and I had so much cheese and ham on it you could barely even tell it was a pancake at all.
Brace yourself for the images below…
This was the finished product! It is a teeny tiny pancake with cheddar, mozzarella and ham on it. It is definitely not the most beautiful creations but it tasted amazing! If you’re looking for a recipe use the one on Good Food and then add the extras because it’s so simple and creates an lovely tasting pancake. I just wish mine had turned out a little better as it could’ve been brilliant if it looked as great as it tasted!
Of course there’s more to the story so if you want to see the whole pancake disaster I did a vlog on it too you can watch below.
How are you spending pancake day?
Until next time.
