Zombieland Review

Over this month we have reviewed a lot of scary horror movies. A lot of jump scares, a lot of scary villains, but this review is different. This review is for you out there who want to watch something horror-related for Halloween but don’t want to be terrified. See I do think of you too! This is a great movie and is perfect for that individual. It’s the perfect combination of horror and comedy with a great cast and a great story. Let’s re-awaken the zombies!

zombieland9

Zombieland is about zombies, wow, who’d have guessed it! It follows the story of Columbus, played by Jesse Eisenberg, who is trying to reach his family in Ohio. This isn’t the main story however as he meets a gun-toting tough guy known as Tallahassee who is played by Woody Harrelson and who just wants his last twinkie. As the pair go on their travels together helping each other they meet Wichita (Emma Stone) and her little sister Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) who want to go to an amusement park. Altogether they head across the country to find their desired places meeting some very interesting characters on the way there. Oh, and a bucket load of zombies.

This movie is brilliant! I haven’t given too much away above because I want you to watch it. I want you to see it for the first time like I did with wide eyed wonderment at the heartwarming moments and the incredibly funny moments that really help to take away the scariness of the zombies. This is a go to movie of mine when I don’t know what else to watch and I hope it’ll be one of yours too!

zombieland6

With a brilliant cast who just know how to do comedy so well and a premise that is simple, a bit idiotic, but interesting none the less this movie really is a recipe for success. But honestly, my favourite part of the whole movie, are the rules they set out within it (like rule one above).

Go watch Zombieland if you haven’t. Watch it with friends if you can because that makes the viewing all the more enjoyable.

What do you think of Zombieland?

Until next time.
