Movie I Know Word for Word

I mean, what teenage/young adult woman can’t recite this movie word for word. Not only is it a great movie, it has some amazing quotes including:

“She doesn’t even go here!”

“That’s why her hair’s so big, it’s full of secrets!”

and:

“Is butter a carb?”

Guessed what the movie is yet?

Mean Girls! Oh Mean Girls, the movie I still have to watch everytime I’m with my girlfriends. It’s such a classic, a movie with so much fun and a few life lessons along the way. Not only is the cast perfect but their acting within this movie is on point too.

So, if you haven’t watched Mean Girls, you’re either a guy or living under a rock. If you haven’t seen it go watch it now! It’s about Cady, Lindsay Lohan, a girl from Africa who was homeschooled until she moved to America. She befriends Damien and Janis two outsiders who despise the plastics, or the three girls above. Gretchen, Karen and the infamous Regina George.

They befriend Cady but soon betray her, over a guy of all things, so she hatches a plan with Damien and Janis to completely ruin their lives. This is followed by a lot of surprises, a lot of great sceeming and a very happy ending.

One of my favourite quotes right there. Oh my god Karen you can’t just ask people why they’re white!

This movie is brilliant because it is easily relatable, in some ways, and has a great moral message that girls should stand together not apart. We already have enough people trying to bring us down why should we bring each other down too?

The casting choices are wonderful. Rachel McAdams plays the big daddy of mean girls Regina and she suits the part so much. From her long blonde hair (that was apparently a wig by the way) to her evil little smirk she personifies the role beautifully. But, the main girl, Cady Heron or Lindsay Lohan is perfect for the role as she is more punky and out there. Especially when you notice that the Mean Girls often wear girly pretty things while Cady is more down to earth and less fashion conscious.

If you’ve got a girly night in coming up soon definitely add this m0vie to your list! It’s incredibly fun, hilariously funny and has a great cast. Just please gloss over the sequel, that one is what you’d call ‘too Disney’.

What’s one movie you could watch again and again and know all the words too?

Until next time.
