Ok I’ll admit it….I’ve never seen Jumanji the whole way through….

But wait, before you get all hyped up. I found it crazy scary when I was younger so now I’m older I’ll give it a go!

But this trailer, this trailer looks amazing!

Everyone was annoyed because they didn’t believe Jumanji needed to be remade, and I’m the same, I thought it was a bit of a classic but seeing this trailer I feel they have gone such a different way with it the only thing that is the same is the name.

I don’t see why they didn’t just make it a whole new movie and step away from Jumanji altogether. Maybe it’s for the publicity and money….

Anyway, the trailer follows four students who have to clean up a basement as punishment. There’s the jock, the pretty one, the smart one and the innocent one. One of them finds an old video game called Jumanji and they decide to play it, each picking avatars in the game. When they press start however they are transported into the game and into the bodies of the avatars. This is where the comedy really begins when the pretty girl becomes Jack Black. Seeing Jack Black act and speak like a stereotypical teenage girl is definitely going to be an enjoyable watch.

Then they go around this jungle game I guess playing the game as you would. There’s a lot of comedy in it but I can imagine a few slight scares too to keep the audience on their toes. Whatever happens, I am definitely going to see this movie.

I think this movie has a lot of potential, from the casting which primarily seems to be Karen Gillan, The Rock, Kevin Hart and Jack Black to the comedy and the setting of the movie. It looks like it was produced to a very high level too, looking at the CGI animals featured they don’t seem to be too robotic or obviously fake.

I think this is a movie that both adults and kids will enjoy especially as Jack Black is known for his hidden adult jokes and the actors are very well known to a range of people. I don’t see its correlation as of yet with the original movie but maybe as more is revealed that will be opened up to us as well.

I am very excited for this movie, I think it’ll be a brilliant movie with a lot of fun and laughs. I can’t wait for it to be released as I will be sat in the middle row, middle seat with my nachos and a wide grin on my face.

Let’s hope I’m not disappointed.
