Who actually watches Marvel TV shows? I don’t, but I was intrigued by this one, and seeing as I have seen mini clips online from the characters involved I thought I’d give it a watch.

The Defenders are basically a TV version of the Avengers. Four heroes team together, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Daredevil and Luke Cage. They go around beating up bad guys and basically being badasses while their personalities and powers clash. It looks fun and has a bit of hilarity about it but I definitely feel like you need to know the characters more to really get into it.

This could be an issue. Four series’ to watch as well as this one is going to take up a lot of your time. At least with the DC crossover that was just a few episodes in each show, not a whole new series within itself. You are going to have to be a dedicated fan to get through all of these especially if you haven’t already been watching them.

I may give the first episode a go but don’t bank on it. It looks interesting enough but also quite niche and for people who are in the know with those characters. They seem like good characters, I do especially like Daredevil but overall I’m a bit underwhelmed. I feel like superheroes as a whole are becoming a bit overdone and they need to either bring something new to the table (and not squirrel girl) or just give it a break for a while and let audiences try new things. I wouldn’t mind some more psycho-thriller horror movies to be honest.
