Ouija: Origins of Evil Review

This is a sequel, even though it's the origins….ok prequel, but seriously….just ignore the original. This movie is 200x better.

Film Title: Ouija: Origin of Evil

Ouija: Origins of Evil follows a family of a mum and two daughters who pretend to be psychics for money. They put together elaborate theatricals to make people think they are really being contacted by the dead. But soon this backfires and the youngest sister, Doris, starts talking to a demon through a Ouija board. Overtime things get worse including Doris being possessed by the demon and her family begin getting tortured and dying around her. In the end only Doris' older sister remains being sentenced for what happened to her family and friends, but is she really alone? Now that's a jump scare done well!

This movie is actually really fun to watch. It's quite surprising they make such a brilliant prequel when the first movie was an utter shamble and not worth a watch. Even though paranormal movies are way too overdone at the moment this movie is a good watch and keeps you interested throughout. Doris is a really good actress and holds her own in this movie. Yes it's all been done before, but when it's done well, it's worth watching.

The original movie was absolutely awful so don't even bother but with this one, give it a go, it has some good CGI, interesting characters and a storyline that holds up well. To be honest the thing that does it for me is the ending because I never saw that coming and it frightened the living daylights out of me. It is scary, it is a cliche horror movie but it is good and it's definitely one to add to your watch list.

What do you think of Ouija: Origins of Evil?

Until next time.
