Crazy Rich Asians Review
I did not expect this movie to make me as emotional as it did.
Crazy Rich Asians follows two main characters, Rachel and her boyfriend Nick, who are travelling to Nick‘s best friend’s wedding where Rachel will meet his family for the first time. But there is something that Rachel doesn’t know about them, and that is that they’re super rich.
This brings up a whole new world to Rachel, not only her seeing how the other half live as she came from quite a poor background, but also seeing the classes of the group and how certain people believe she is into Nick for the wrong reasons. It’s a Cinderella story of sorts but with a lot more crazy parties.
This movie was so much fun from start to finish. I have to give props to the cinematography and the look and style of this film as it was so punchy and so interesting and it really brought you into this world of who these people are and what they’re like.
Every second something was going on and it was so much fun. It had its highs and lows that really kept you engaged with the story and I found it hilarious and heart breaking all at once. I really connected with Rachel and Nick because when two worlds collide it can either make or break you and luckily in this story it had a happy ending.
This film is one of those that I knew would be good but didn’t expect it to be as good as it actually was. It’s definitely one that I’ll happily watch again and again and probably cry just as much the second or third time watching. While it’s a simple storyline the actual way that it’s put together is so intriguing and I’m very glad I sat down and watched it.
I especially have to give credit to the casting as well because every character was perfect. The people that they have playing them were perfect and it just all fit together so well. It’s one of those movies that you can tell had so much time and energy and patience put into it to make sure that it was the best it could be and without a doubt it’s one movie that I can’t really see any flaws in.
This is a movie I highly recommend. It will definitely bring you a lot of emotions from laughter to tears, but it’s a film that I will definitely be watching again and I will be recommending to everyone to watch as well.
