This was a movie my boyfriend recommend and honestly I really enjoyed it!

A convicted criminal who has been framed for murdering his wife and child is entered into a death race with the promise that if he completes 3 races he gets to leave a free man. But this isn’t called death race for nothing! Think Mad Max, the F1 and criminals, it’s a mad thrill ride of horrific deaths and the powers in charge trying to stop anyone leaving alive.

I don’t want to give too much of the movie away because it is so good! It keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time and has some fantastic ideas and thought provoking moments. It reminded me of a more adult version of The Hunger Games, where people would die in horrific ways in a race that doesn’t really want anyone to truly win. There’s conspiracies about the people in power, the people who are putting their lives on the line, and of course the people who surround them as well.

While this may not typically be my sort of movie, a girl who loves horror but also Drag Race and comedies but rarely dives into the world of action, this movie definitely changed my mind. It’s fast paced, interesting, and the twists and turns along the way really keep you engaged.

If you’re looking for a night of thrills I definitely recommend this!
